School IN Session on Thursday, September 21st!
The previous calendar had Thursday, September 21st as a Parent/Teacher Conference Day where students didn't attend school. This day has been removed as teachers will hold conferences differently this year. STUDENTS WILL BE IN SESSION ON 9/21. The updated calendar can be found below.
Fall Break for all RBBCSC students is October 9th - 13th. No school.

EPS & EIS Procedures
- Students should exit quickly, safely, and independently from the right side of the vehicle.
- Students must stay in a vehicle or with an adult in the school’s breezeway until the 8:25 AM bell.
- Please keep crosswalks & ramps open for students & staff. Do not block.
- Travel loops must remain open until pick-up time. Do not park for pick-up until 2:45 p.m.

Elementary Schools: $1.10 Breakfast, $2.55 Lunch
Secondary Schools: $1.35 Breakfast, $2.70 Lunch
Reduced Meals: $.30 Breakfast, $.40 Lunch
It's not too late: Please complete a financial assistance form on Harmony during your registration process. Also, don’t forget to “Set it and Forget It” on www.myschoolbucks.com to refill your student’s lunch account. Our district is an online payment district, however, if it is necessary to pay by check, please do so prior to school starting at the Nutrition Services Director’s office located at the RBBCSC Service Center. 812-876-7100

The parade starts at Edgewood Drive at 12 p.m. and proceeds East on Highway 46 to Paul Street.

Interested in doing more for the students and staff at EECC? Join us at our first Partners In Education (PIE) Meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd from 3:30 - 5:00. Childcare provided. Please RSVP with the front office that you plan to attend.

S.T.E.A.M. Family Challenge Info!
The September STEAM FAMILY CHALLENGE is posted on the R-BB STEAM webpage! Click here to download the challenge, visit the R-BB STEAM Facebook page (@RBBSTEAM), or ask your classroom teacher! There are also design planning and reflection pages posted on our STEAM webpage, that you can print for your child to record his/her designs and share with classmates!
Looking for even more opportunities to design and MAKE at home? Contact the STEAM Coach in your child’s school about checking out a MAKEngineering kit created in IU’s MILL Makerspace! These kits are an easy way for your children to introduce you to STEAM! You can find out more about the grant-funded project by emailing makengineeringkits@gmail.com, or by visiting their Facebook page: STEM Education Research Group at IUB (@IUBSTEMeducation).

You are invited to enjoy a night at the movies with your family and friends at the Historic Tivoli Theater in Spencer on Wednesday, September 27th at 7pm. Tickets are $5 each. Concessions will be available. (Proceeds from the ticket sales will support the EJHS PTO in all they do to help students at the junior high!)

Are You Saving Those Box Tops?
You are going to be glad you did! The first ever "Box Tops Bash" is coming up on Friday, October 20th at 6:30pm. At EJHS, the Box Tops that are brought in go to benefit the library (something every student can benefit from!), and the PTO wants to partner with you to bring in a record number of Box Tops this year! More information will be sent home as this event gets closer, but for now, make sure to be collecting those Box Tops!

4-H Information
Mini 4-H Halloween Spooktacular:
The Purdue Extension – Monroe County Office will be holding a Mini 4-H Halloween Spooktacular party October 24th, 2017, 6-8 PM at the Monroe County Fairgrounds Auditorium.
This event is totally free and open to all kids enrolled in grades K-2nd and their families. There will be games, contests and prizes throughout the night with the costume contests and costume parade beginning at 7 pm. Come dressed in you Halloween costume for a fun night of trick or treating while learning about the awesome clubs Monroe County 4-H has to offer. Mini 4-H enrollment begins October 1st, 2017 through January 5th, 2018, there will be computers and staff at the event for those who wish to enroll in mini 4-H (enrollment fee is $5). 4-H Enrollment is Almost Here!
Fall time means you can get signed up for another fantastic year of 4-H! 4-H in Monroe County is open to any student currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade. On October 1st, enrollment will open! Click HERE to log in and enroll for another year or to create an account for a new 4-H member. If you have questions or would like to learn more about 4-H contact the Monroe County Extension Office at 812-349-2575 or e-mail monroeces@purdue.edu. You can also visit the Extension Office any day M-F from 8:00am to 4:00pm to enroll or visit during our extended hours: October 12 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, December 13 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm or January 10 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
