End of Year Testing
As of today students have been assessed in Math, English/Language Arts, and Science. Assessment results look positive and show much growth by Trexler students! The school district plans to allow the release of the Math and English/Language Arts scores to students next week and official score reports will sent home or mailed home as soon as they become available. If you have any questions about your child's score once you receive them, please contact their English or Math teacher.
Looking ahead to next week, students will be assessed in Social Studies on Monday and later in the week students enrolled in a computer class and/or the high school level Math I course will take those assessments. Testing should be completed by 10:00am on Monday in case students need to get checked out for appointments.
Thank you to all the parents and community members for assisting with test proctoring – we truly could not do it with you! Also, thank you students - we realize that taking long tests is not a fun activity and we appreciate your focus and determination to do your best.
A Message From the Nurse About Medicine Pick-Up
On June 9, 2017, grade level awards ceremonies will be held in the gym. The 6th grade ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:30am and the 7th grade ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:45am. All teachers will recognize Class Highest Academic Average recipients as well as a Teacher’s Choice recipient for each class. A variety of other recognitions and/or acknowledgements may be presented or announced. While we have enjoyed the Principal's List and Honor Roll pizza parties that we held each grading period, unfortunately it is not possible to have a 4th nine-weeks Principal's List and Honor Roll celebration and/or recognition as as term grades will not be finalized until after school ends.
An Awards Ceremony will also be held for 8th graders and refreshments will be served following the ceremony as we give a formal farewell to our 8th graders and their parents. The ceremony will begin at 12:00 pm and should last approximately 1 ½ hours. Additionally, all teachers will recognize class Highest Academic Average recipients as well as a Teacher’s Choice recipient for each class. A variety of other recognitions and/or acknowledgements may be presented or announced. While we have enjoyed the Principal's List and Honor Roll pizza parties that we held each grading period, unfortunately it is not possible to have a 4th nine-weeks Principal's List and Honor Roll celebration and/or recognition as as term grades will not be finalized at that time.
Perfect Attendance (no absences and/or tardies or early checkouts) will be recognized during the awards ceremonies. Feel free to call Amy Rowntree, Data Manager, at 324-4414 to confirm your child’s status at any point prior to June 9, 2017.
Visitors should arrive early enough to check-in as a visitor with their photo ID at Trexler's office to attend a ceremony.
