one push was war, hmong people where sent to camps in Thailand where later on they escaped to California but many where in poverty and the cost of living wasn't cheap there so they moved to Minnesota because there cost of living was cheaper and there was more jobs available here and quality eduction is better here

Trying to fit into America culture well still keeping there traditional culture . Poverty was another big one well adjusting to life here in America.
