Cougar Continuity of Learning #2
March 22- 27, 2020 Keeping Our Students Engaged
Principal's Message
Thank you to everyone who is helping our students by continuing learning at home. A huge shout-out goes to the Cougar teachers who are working hard to help students stay engaged while spending extended time at home. I also appreciate teachers who are supporting the many efforts to ensure that folks are still eating during this time. The first drive-up family market was Tuesday with more to come. Together we will get through these new and challenging times. Below are the links for week #2.
All CES students will receive a free Starfall.com account code in an email this week. Only one code is needed for all children in the house to have fun reading stories, doing some math and learning about history. Starfall is used at school so your child should be familiar with this website. If you would like specific suggestions for areas for your child to explore, please contact your child’s teacher. Starfall at-home codes will be accessible until June, 2020.
If you are having difficulty getting internet access please check-out the following webiste. Information about Free & Reduced Internet Access for Families Comcast - https://www.internetessentials.com/covid19. It is the goal of MPCS to make learning from home as equitable as we can.
Another resource for families is https://www.commonsensemedia.org/resources-for-families-during-the-coronavirus-pandemic. This website offers suggestions on how to support you and your child during this challenging time.
I would like to see pictures of our students learning at home. Please share a few with me at ann.gwynn@mpark.net. I will share them in upcoming communications.
Please stay well!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gwynn
