November Continues!
November 16-20
Trip to Fairview Lake
Even though it was raining, the field trip was a great success and we had a lot of FUN! We did a three mile hike to the third highest place in New Jersey, The Kittitinney Ridge. We could see New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. This hike was on part of the Appalacchian Trail. which starts in Georgia and finishes in Maine. Another activity we did was candle making! We sang songs and played team building games. Dinner was a huge success--with JOHN, the rest of us thought it was okay too.
The School Play!
Congratulations to both ZiRui and Ben for performing in the school play this week. They had a lot of practice and long days and nights, but were always ready to work and had smiles on their faces all week!
Look for more about the play next week!
Break a leg boys!
Yahtzee!
Yahtzee is a game that you play with dice You want to get the highest score from throwing 5 dice. This is done by rolling and saving different combinations such as 3 of a kind, small straights and more. You also get a player score card. At the end you tally up the score and see who is the winner. This is a really fun game to play.
We love to play games and videos when we celebrate FUN FRIDAY!!
The new HIGH-FIVE
Gage and I have found a new way to celebrate--the SLOW motion HIGH-FIVE! It was a really great moment this week when we found "our thing" as Gage called it!! Great way for us to connect and celebrate!--It's OUR THING for sure Gage!
Bei Bei's First Steps
Bei Bei's First Steps
As promised we still check in on our favorite panda-Bei Bei. Last week the National Zoo released a video of his first steps and a big hug from his mom. We watched and were thrilled and excited to see his progress!! We will be checking in from time to time and keeping up with his progress as we have subscribed to and are reading the Smithsonian's National Zoo Newsletter.
Enjoy--just like we did!!
