Next Steps

Congrats, the tough part is behind us!

I am so proud of your children!

I don't think there is anything better than seeing the children all dressed up and excited for their first performance. I looked around Tuesday evening and saw parents that have sat through this beginning band concert multiple times, and I thought, Oh boy - they are listening to the same tunes from the same six notes - again. However, every year the students remind me that that this is all brand new for them! Thank you again for partnering with me to start, what I hope will be, a long satisfying musical experience as we move forward. For families new to the program, you will be amazed by the jazz band and symphonic band performance at our Spring concert!

Early band & lessons

There will be lessons during the school day next week and early band resumes for:

Madison - Wednesday, February 3rd

Elm - Monday, February 8th

Oak - Tuesday, February 9th

Instrument repair - FYI

As the year progresses, some instruments will inevitably need repair. If you are renting from Quinlan & Fabish, all repairs are covered as part of your insurance plan. Q & F has given me a set of loaner instruments so that students are not without an instrument while theirs is being repaired. Students keep their own mouthpiece to use with the loaner. I will send the instrument to Q & F and it will be returned to school when it is finished being repaired (usually in about a week).
