Important Notes
- The second nine weeks begins on Tuesday the 15th. Please refer to your grade level Google Share file for the new schedule.
- There is no longer be a Green Student Award given during the quarterly award ceremonies.

- Harvest Hoedown-teacher volunteers are needed! You guys have always been so supportive of our community events, the students LOVE seeing their teachers their. Thanks to all who have already signed up.
1st 9 weeks FOCUS tips:
1. The grading period will end on Friday, October 11th.
2. You must complete “Posting” by Thursday 10/17 .
3. The grade posting window will be open from Friday, October 4th to 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 17th.
4. You may edit/update gradebook grades, posted grades, posted standard grades, and comments until 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 17th. This is a hard deadline. Any further edits/updates will have to be done by an administrator. Directions are located here:

5. All grade levels are Posting Standard Grades for 1st 9 Weeks.
Grades 3-6 are Posting Final Grades for subject areas LA, SS, SC, and MA (Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math).
6. All 1st 9 Week assignments must have a due date between 8/12/19 and 10/11/19 or they will not be averaged in.
7. Parents will not be able to view posted grades or posted report cards until October 18th.

10. Hard copies of the report cards are due to your evaluator by October 15th. Remember to put them in the coral folder.
Looking Ahead....
Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week – 10/21/19 to 10/25/19
· Monday 10/21 – In the morning the Red Ribbon pledges will be dropped off at your classroom
by the PTO volunteers. Read pledge, have students sign it & post the pledge on the front of your classroom door.
Please do not use a permanent marker!! Use erasable markers only.
· Tuesday 10/22 – In the morning the tags/necklaces will be placed in your mailbox.
· Please distribute the tags/necklaces to students on the day they go to the Awards Ceremony.
· Wednesday 10/23 2nd grade/4th grade – 8:15 a.m.
1st grade/6th grade – 9:15 a.m.
· Thursday 10/24 Kindergarten – 8:15 a.m.
3rd grade/5th grade – 9:15 a.m.
· If you have extra tags/necklaces please send a student to the front office with the extra(s).
· If you don’t have enough necklaces then email Susan Ownes immediately.
· Friday 10/25 – In the afternoon, the Red Ribbon pledges will be taken off your classroom door & stored to be used for the
next school year.
