Transition Meetings

The school year is flying by, which means we are in the midst of transition meetings for our Special Education students. During the first two weeks of March, our Special Education Staff will be holding meetings that outline goals and services for a special education student.

Transition meetings are held for preschool to Kinder, sixth to seventh, eighth to ninth and twelfth grade plus students. During these meetings, our students and parents have the opportunity to visit the school that their child will be transiting to. This also provides a time for them to meet some of the staff and leadership team from the school that they will be attending in the upcoming school year. For many, these meetings ease the nerves not only for our students but for their parents with the opportunity to visit the new school and staff.

If you see parents and students coming to your school site who you may not recognize remember to greet them with a smile and say, "hello."

Track & Field Special Olympics

The annual Track & Field Special Olympics is coming up in May.

Recently, there was a Starbucks Gift Basket Raffle that was held at Starbucks here in Soledad. This event was one of many that will be held which assists in purchasing t-shirts for our Special Olympics Team.

Be on the lookout for upcoming events that will be occurring to assist in supporting our Special Olympians.
