The Hawks traveled east last week to participate in an important triangular meet at Johnson High School. While the Governors and Hawks would face off in a conference meet, they would also each compete against Roosevelt High School for a non-conference competition. The Teddies and Governors each put up a good fight, but neither team was able to take down your Hawks with Humboldt going 2-0 on the day. This puts your Hawks at 5-0 in conference play, sitting in first place in the conference! While Coach Novacheck and his team can see the light at the end of the tunnel, there is still a monumental roadblock in their quest to earn their second consecutive city title; the Harding Knights. If Humboldt defeats Harding on 2/8/22, the Hawks will finish the conference schedule with a perfect 6-0 record, and hold on to the conference crown. The Hawks will have several non-conference matches to help themselves prepare for Harding prior to 2/8/22. The first of which is This Wednesday (1/26/22) at North St. Paul High School. The Hawks will wrestle North and Robbinsdale Armstrong at 5:00 PM and 6:15 PM. Good luck to Coach Novacheck and his army of lightweight and marble-chiseled wrestlers this week! Keep the perfect season alive!

Boys Swimming
The Boys Swim team had two meets last week in which they showed a lot of heart and saw many of their athletes come close to personal bests on their swim times! They will conclude their season This Friday 1/28/22) at the Conference Swim Meet. This will be held at Humboldt at 6:00 PM. Congratulations to our swim athletes on an excellent season!
