Class News and Notes
Groundhog Day was a great day! The children enjoyed learning about groundhogs. They really liked making "groundhog" cupcakes. They turned out so cute. A big thank you to Mrs. Johnson for sending in cupcakes and Mrs. Birt for the marshmallows. Yummy!
The children really loved having guests for the Special Friends and Family lunch. It was so organized and the decorations were great! The PTA did such a nice job with it.
They also enjoyed the science project of making bird feeders with Ms. Debbie, our awesome volunteer,

Note From Mrs. Pugh, our school counselor:
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
At school this week your child participated in a personal safety lesson designed to help prevent sexual abuse. The Think First & Stay Safe™ program is a research-based program that teaches specific personal safety education by way of interactive classroom lessons, classroom posters, role playing, and corresponding activities. Think First & Stay Safe™ enables students to take an active and necessary role in protecting themselves from abuse and exploitation. We hope you will take the time to talk with your child about what to do if they are touched by someone in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable. They need to know what you want them to do. We look forward to continuing to work together to make sure your child is safe at school, at home, and in the community. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at school.
