Math
Students need to either have their book or have access to the online book to be able to ensure their understanding of the concepts by doing their independent work.
Students will be showing their understanding of volume and surface area.
This Week's Objectives:
Students will be able to find volume of composite figures and surface area along with working on a volume and surface area project.

Social Studies
Students will finish their Civil War projects this week and present their knowledge to the class. We will then start on the Reconstruction Era. (1865-1877)
Students will be learning:
Identify political, economical and social causes and consequences of the Civil War and Reconstruction
Objective 12 Important Vocabulary:
Sharecropping, thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth amendments, reconstruction, civil rights, impeach, and Jim Crow Laws.
Learning Target for the Week:
Objective #12:
The student can summarize:
The south and its recovery.
Post Civil War, including long-term political, economic and social consequences.
ELA
Overview:
This upcoming week we will continue to work on out Holocaust Unit. We will be working with building background knowledge, understanding key terms, and beginning to prepare our speeches. 8th Grade ELA will also be taking the NWEA Reading Test next week. We hope to see improvement from every student to help better know their needs for this summer and the beginning of next year! We cannot wait to see how our interactions and activities during the Holocaust Unit support our learning!
*You need to bring your charged chrome book everyday to be successful.
*Students also need to remember to bring their planners everyday to write down daily objectives and upcoming events.
