August Update
The Back to School season is upon us and Serve United is gearing up to meet again to network and discuss church-school partnerships at our quarterly Serve United Activation Meeting on August 18th at Real Life Church Artisan Campus. This meeting is open to all church and organization leaders and anyone else interested in church school partnerships. We want you to know that you are not alone in the journey of school engagement. We want you to be aware of the abundance of resources available to you as you engage this critical place of need in your community. We want to hear about your progress in forming relationships with schools and hear the expertise you may bring to the table. This meeting we will be discussing how you can engage a school around the causes of Education and Sexual Integrity.

Community Resource: Point Break Workshops
Point Break is an anti-bullying workshop that Youth for Christ implements in partnership with local churches. Point Break creates an atmosphere of honest communication in which students and faculty work together. Participants move through a variety of high-energy games, small group discussions, encouraging teaching segments and poignant moments of personal reflection, all of which call for honest introspection. Through this process, students who have been silent in the past find opportunity to share and trust their peers.
Youth for Christ has over 20 ministry sites and are implementing the Point Break workshops all over the Sacramento region. To find out how to engage your church or school with Point Break, visit the website HERE!
