With Mr. Warrenfeltz
In science, students will begin developing models of an animal to explain how the animal's senses impact it's behavior. In math, we will review division of whole numbers and decimals.
With Mrs. Hartley
In ELA/SS, students will engage in a study of the novel The Mostly True Adventures of Home P. Figg which chronicles the adventure of 12 year old Homer who runs away to find his brother who is fighting in the union army. The students will analyze the character development and discuss the ways the story parts work together to create a theme. They will also record historical facts presented in the the text about the Civil War. Ultimately they will work with a partner to write their own historical fiction story about one of the conflicts we’ve studied.
