After School Activites
Destination Imagination
This year’s Destination Imagination team members are: Sophie K, Olivia B,
Megan L, Ryan M, Kaylee S, Carter S, and Lexi K.. They met weekly with Mrs. Bejin after school to work on team building activities and timed challenges.
The team chose to solve the Improvisation challenge. This involves acting with no materials.
The group researched real-life detectives, forensic techniques that may be used to solve a
mystery, and then practiced solving lots of mysteries with the knowledge they gained from their research. Also, the team performed a shorter challenge where they had to report good news and bad news about a ridiculous event.
The first tournament was virtual this year. This meant the team had to record their performances to be submitted for scoring. Over Spring Break, the team learned they qualified for the Globals. The Globals is the highest tournament for Destination Imagination, in which teams from all over the world usually compete at a four day tournament in Missouri. Due to Covid, this year’s Globals tournament will be virtual, also.
