Literal of Figurative Lyrics?

The lyrics are meant to be taken figuratively by the listener. The title "Hall of Fame refers to impacting people throughout your life and leaving a legacy. All the jobs listed (teachers, politicians, preachers, leaders, etc) will not necessarily give you fame and fortune, but they are jobs where you have the possibility to positively impact so many people's lives and be remembered even after you die. The song also means whoever you are you can be anything you set your mind to. It talks about "never giving up" and "to keep going". It also talks about how anyone can reach their goals if they try and to just believe.

Golden Lines

Dedicate yourself and you can find yourself standing in the Hall of Fame.

Cause you burn with the brightest flame.

Do it for your people

Do it for your pride

Never gonna know if you never even try.

Meaning of Song Revealed by Literal Text:

You can throw your hands up
You can beat the clock
You can move a mountain
You can break rocks
You can be a master
Don't wait for luck
Dedicate yourself and you can find yourself standing in the hall of fame
And the world's gonna know your name
Cause you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name
And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame
