OSSB Men's GoalBall

It was a very unique goalball season for our OSSB Men’s Goalball team. There was no travel allowed this season, so our main focus was to work on skills, communication, and to enjoy the game. Plus we really didn’t want our players going a year without goalball. Marwan was our only returning player, and our only senior this year. Marwan continues to get better on both offense and defense and should consider playing at the next level.

First-time players this year were Jeremy (freshman) and Philip (8th grade). Both players had previous experience with goalball but this was their first year at the varsity level. Jeremy and Philip did great this year and I am excited to see them develop their skills over the next few years. Already looking forward to Goalball 2021 - 2022! The Creative Writing Club presents…

An evening with two of OSSB’s aspiring novelists. Ely and Emily will share excerpts from their latest works of fiction.

Ely will read from his book called Amber, which follows the lives of four military specialists who face harrowing enemy forces while dealing with personal battles of their own. Protagonist Andrew has to learn to confront his past demons or allow them to jeopardize his future missions.

Emily will read from her latest dark science fiction novel, The Storyteller, which chronicles the downward spiral of the main character who has been experimented on since she was a young girl. She has developed powers that allow her to create terrifying creatures and control her surroundings. Her supernatural powers and traumatic past cause her to unleash her fury on all those who cross her path. Will she be able to find light in all of the darkness that surrounds her, or will she be consumed by it?
