2nd Annual Drexel Barber Shop Jam

Benefit Music Concert @ Old Rock School in Valdese, NC

Saturday, June 23, 2012

The Drexel Barber Shop has been an institution in Drexel, NC since 1949. Originally opened by Lawrence Anthony, there's always been a music scene to share in the good humor with the barbers and the customers. In 2006, filmaker Matt Morris documented the music and the customers in the Emmy nominated short film, Pickin' & Trimmin'.

“I love it. Made me cry it’s so beautiful.”
