China Case Study
Logan Beddes, 2nd Period
Objective
To compare and contrast the government and citizen rights of the United States and China
China's Government
China is a Communist State. Their government is very restrictive, and does not allow the people much of a say in what goes on. The President and Vice President are both chosen by the National People's Congress and go on to serve a five year term.
U.S.'s Government
The U.S. is run under a constitutional democracy. In other words, the people are able to vote on their leaders and everything is run under a national constitution. The general population elects their President and Vice President. The president serves a four year term.
Comparison
While both China and the U.S. have an executive, judicial, and legislative branch, their overall governments are vastly different. The U.S. allows people the right to vote for their leaders, while China does not. Also, China is communist, while the US is a democracy.
