This Week in LVUSD
Week of July 6, 2020
Video Update from Dr. Stepenosky Coming This Week
Dr. Stepenosky will be sharing a video update with the community toward the end of this week with regards to our Fall 2020 on campus plans. Given this, we will not be hosting our originally scheduled webinar on Tuesday at 4:00.
Family Meals Available this Summer
Beginning June 15th and throughout the Summer, meal distribution will occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm at AE Wright Middle School.
Parents may pick up the meals on behalf of their students; students are not required to be present. When a parent comes for pick up, they may take two days of meals for each student in their family. Please bring a bag or box if possible.
LVUSD Community 360 App Now Available
LVUSD developed a brand new app that is now available through Android and Apple platforms. The app links to free local counseling services so that families have a direct point of contact if they feel the need to talk to a mental health professional. Resources relating to food access, health supports, and updates on changing circumstances will occur through the app and our Website and Social media accounts.
There is a direct link to download the app on the homepage at Community360.me.
Looking for a Summer Read?
We have added new parenting and self-improvement books to the Community 360 Digital Library which is free and accessible for all LVUSD families. Titles from Brene Brown, Chip and Dan Heath, and more are currently available for digital checkout. Additionally, all parenting books we've discussed in prior years can be accessed through the link below. Audio formats are available for some titles.
- Go to: https://soraapp.com/welcome/login/340058
- Enter the email address LVUSD has on record for your family.
- Select the title you'd like to read or listen to and select "Borrow".
All titles have a two-week checkout period. We hope that this expanded format allows more families to access these incredible parenting resources.
