A Message from Ms. Lilly
RNE newsletter January 11th, 2017
The Principal's Office
Welcome Back! I hope you enjoyed the time off making memories with your family. All of us have settled back into the routine of school despite the chilly start. I am so happy to have the halls filled with students!
During the month of January, we have several events you will want to place on your calendar. Next Wednesday, Angela Ergle, Northwest Learning Community Specialist, will present an evening session focused on math. This is a repeat of the session that occurred in the fall. The session will begin at 6:00PM in the cafeteria.
Family Science night will be held January 24, 2017 from 5:30-7:00 PM. Each grade level team will present fun science-related activities for the whole family. You won't want to miss this event!
Please remember Friday, January 27th is our second full release day- no school for students. Teachers will be engaged in professional learning with our reading and math consultants. This work will be brought back into the classroom to share with students.
This morning, our students participated in a shelter in place drill. This drill is used during events such as a tornado. Our students and teachers quickly reacted to the alarm. During our first week back we are reviewing the procedures for all drills. Tomorrow, we will participate in our evacuation (fire) drill. The weather should be perfect!
I hope you are able to enjoy our long weekend! See you Tuesday!
Best,
Maureen
Parents Survey
Each year, parents are able to provide feedback about their child's school by completing the Georgia Parent Survey. This anonymous survey is conducted by the Georgia Department of Education and the participation results directly contribute to our CCRPI School Climate Rating. We would love to have 100% participation! Please take a moment to complete this short survey by answering a few questions about our school.
