Jobs Children Did in Factories
Children had to clean inside, under and around the machines while they are on. If they were lucky the machines would be off.
Hours, Food and Working conditions
Children in the factories worked 12-14 hours a day. It was hard because the barely got any breaks the conditions were terribble also. They worked near all the dangerous machines and had a chance of dying everyday. The dust and particles got into there lungs making it hard to breath. Sometimes they didnt eat all day but if they did eat it was stale bread.
Accidents That often Happened
Children getting killed in the factories wasnt uncommon. They would get there arm stuck in a machine, or limbs would get yanked/cut off. They broke bones from falling from heights. It was like an everyday battle with death.
