District-Wide Professional Development Day

Guess what staff across the district was doing last Tuesday?!? Accountable Talk, Chrome Extensions, Effective Co-Teaching Practices, Supporting English Learners in Our Classrooms, Google Classroom, GradeBook, Inclusion Practices, Homework Balance, Using Games & Puzzles in Math, Twitter, and more! Over 180 staff members from across the district spent our professional development day engaged in rich, valuable dialogue about instructional practices.

ANY NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS APPRECIATED

SOME SUGGESTIONS

Preschool, Kindergarten, & Grade 1:

Pasta, macaroni and cheese, tuna, fruit snacks, breakfast/granola bars, crackers

Grade 2:

Pasta, macaroni and cheese, instant oatmeal, canned soup, packaged cookies/ granola bars/crackers

Grade 3:

Peanut butter, canned fruit or vegetables, hot chocolate mix, juice boxes, tuna, school snacks

Grade 4:

Cereal, juice, juice boxes, jelly, canned soup, school snacks, Crackers or cookies

Grade 5:

Cereal, tomato/spaghetti sauce, canned fruit or vegetables, mayonnaise, peanut butter


Collection boxes will be in the main hall of TES

Last Year we collected almost 1000 pounds of non-perishable food items . Let's try for over 1000 pounds this year!

Annual Holiday Food Drive and Fundraising Events

Please help support this annual Holiday Event that supports Families in our own Community. 100% of all proceeds go directly to the Families in need. Together the Tyngsborough Public Schools, Police Department, Library and Community Supporters/Businesses collaborate to provide Happier Holidays for Families that are in need. Everything is confidentially coordinated at Tyngsborough High School where a dedicated hard working team of Students and Staff put it all together to deliver food and gifts with the assistance of the Tyngsborough Police Department and other dedicated helpers.

ADOPT A FAMILY RAFFLE

to view all of the great raffle items that have been donated to support the annual Adopt-A-Family program. The Adopt-A-Family program has been in existence for over 40 years and provides assistance to needy families within our community during the holidays.


Please consider supporting this program. Raffle tickets can be purchased in the Main Office of each school, $1 for 3 tickets / $5 for 16 tickets.


All baskets will be on display at THE SHOW (TPS faculty talent show) on November 17 at Tyngsborough High School.


Winning raffle tickets will be drawn on December 9. Thank you for your support.

Denise Fjeld, lower elementary lead secretary sent home 2016-17 statement to all families. Going forward, you will not receive monthly statements. All payments are due on or before 1st of the month. Thank you for your timely payment. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the main office.

These are tentative dates and are subject to change. There are a total of 3 ELA sections and 2 math sections for each grade level. There are 2 Science MCAS tests as well.
