Dear Mustang Families,

Thank you partners for a root-n-toot'n good time time at our Wild Wild West Mustang Fest! We wrangled up lots of fun in the corral. Thank you to our wonderful PTO for another fun event for our Mustang families.

Spring has sprung!! We have thoroughly enjoyed this weather! However, the cool mornings had children wearing sweaters and jackets then shedding them as the day warmed. Guess what has grown at Midway? Yes, a few flowers but our "Lost and Found" is growing at a faster rate! Please have your child check "Lost and Found" for lost jackets and sweaters. These items are going to have a greater need next week.

Speaking of next week, our Book Fair kicks off on Monday morning with Grits for Grands (last names with A-L)! This will be a busy but fun morning. Then, Tuesday is Grits for Grands (last names with M-Z)! Our Family Night will be on Thursday,4:30-6:30. Please do mark your calendar for these special opportunities.

ALL day Field Day this year will be on Friday, March 25--our last day before Spring Break! This is our first ALL day Field Day so it is so appropriately called our Superhero Field Day! Please do join us for this awesome day. I can truly say that this is my favorite day of the year as we get to enjoy our children for physical activities in a fun but purposeful way!

Have a wonderful weekend! Start perusing the Book Fair paper for good reads!

Yours truly,

Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary

Grades 3 - 5 LTC Career Festival

Although not all grades received the activity book, everyone is invited to LTC on March 17th for their career festival. Lexington Technology Center is working to get younger students interested in careers or paths early with this fun night. There is a poster contest as well, for all grades levels to participate in, if interested. If you have older children you know how much the Technology Center offers for career opportunities and explorations. It is a really neat part of our district that we don't get to see much in the younger grades.
