3rd grade- What is the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)?
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is a multiple-choice test designed to measure a child’s academic aptitude and gifted abilities.
The most common version of the test, measures cognitive development and problem-solving skills. The test is made up of three sections, called batteries:
- Verbal Battery
- Quantitative Battery
- Nonverbal Battery
These batteries can be administered separately or together, depending on the school administering the test.
We (Scroggs) is administering the test(s) on December 3rd, 4th and 5th.
