that's all folks!
year-end reminders from MEI Secondary Library
There always seems to be a long list of year end deadlines and things to remember, and this year is no different! Let us help you! Take a look at a few reminders and tips to make your year have a happy ending.
It's almost Yearbook time!
Yearbooks will be picked up on the last 2 days of classes -- June 18 & 19. You will be emailed more info soon, including a time frame during that one of those days, to stop by the school.
Please bring back all your library books, textbooks, athletics gear, and any other outstanding items.
JUST A WORD OF CAUTION: If you do not return all your textbooks or library books on June 18 & 19, a replacement fine will be added to your account. Replacement items will be purchased this summer and the fine will be held for payment in the 2020-2021 school year. If you are a GRAD with fines, they must be paid by June 26.
June 18 & 19 is Return Day
The physical space of the library is remaining closed in June. However, Ms. Penner is just an email away if you have any questions or need help.
All textbooks and library books must be returned to the school on June 18 & 19. This return date is combined with yearbook pick-up and locker clean-out, so that you are making less trips to the school. Keep an eye out for an email with a reminder of which items you are responsible to bring back.
If you have any questions or concerns about returning books or textbooks, please feel welcome to be in touch with the librarian.
All library fines have been paused due to the pandemic.
If you currently have books out that are overdue, no additional fines will be added to your account for the days MEI Schools is closed, including the month of June.
If you are in GRADES 9-11, any library fines or textbook replacement fines do not need to be paid at the end of this school year to receive your yearbook, and will remain on your account until next year. Make sure you bring back all the textbooks and library books on June 18 & 19 to avoid having fines added to your account! Once replacement copies are purchased this summer, fines will remain on your account even if you bring the items back late.
If you are a GRAD ...
Ms. Penner has waived any late fines on your library account as a fond farewell! Only replacement fees need to be paid for by June 30, our fiscal year end. You will receive an email if you have any fines owing. Students can also login to their library account to see what they need to return, or what is owing.
