Martin Luther King Day of Service Activity
-Thank you to everyone who donated to our Martin Luther King Day of Service activity. Students, parents, and staff members made fleece blankets to donate to a local youth organization, Valley Youth House, that serves children and teens who are experiencing emergency homelessness. We were also able to send many bags of toiletries to this organization.
Congratulations to our MA Future Cities Team
The Eighth Grade Gifted Support class presented their city of the future at this year's Future City Competition on Saturday January 18, 2020. The students, with the support of their engineering mentor Greg Jakubowski, have been working on futuristic solutions for their city "Peppopolis" this entire school year. In addition to the model made 100% out of recycled materials, they also developed and managed and presented a virtual city, wrote an essay, forumated a presentation, created a project plan, and interviewed with 40+ engineers about their concept. This year’s problem focus was Clean Water: Tap Into Our Future, and the students were tasked to develop systems to combat a chosen water threat. Murray Avenue won two awards, "Best Use of Materials" presented by TA Instruments, and the "Fire Protection Engineering" award presented by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, Philadelphia - Delaware Valley Chapter.

LMTSD Bullying Prevention Information
We wanted to provide some information to families following our LMTSD Parent/Guardian Bullying Prevention Information survey. Below are some answers to some Frequently Asked Questions and information related to district procedures.
Are you aware of the anonymous reporting system being used in Pennsylvania, Safe2Say Something?
Safe2Say Something is a statewide anonymous, 24-7, reporting process for a variety of safety concerns. Click HERE for more information on this initiative.
Are you aware of the Lower Moreland Township School District Harassment/Bullying Reporting Form?
This form is used to gather information about incidents related to bullying. Students, parents, teachers, and administrators can all use this form. This form can be found on each school’s website. Click HERE to view the form.
As a parent, I have a clear understanding of the school's policies, practices, and procedures related to issues of harassment and bullying.
All reported incidents related to bullying are investigated, regardless of how they are reported. The District Code of Conduct is the structure used to apply consequences. Cases are referred to the police if the nature of the incident requires it.
We continue to partner with students, staff, and families to provide a safe environment for all students.
