Bonnie's Brush
I’m still thinking about Cat’s presentation at the October meeting. World Building, bringing the nineteen-forties to life in her writings. That’s why I hate to miss a meeting. New thoughts, interesting ideas and more.
As November brings Thankful Thoughts - I thank you our Tampa Branch members for your creative, interesting presence each month. Bring your Show N Tell for the table and your non-perishable donation to Metropolitan Ministries to the November meeting.
I’m looking forward to our Christmas gathering the usual third Tuesday of the month, December 19, 11 am, at Virginia Halloway’s. Bring a dish to share, a gift to exchange if you wish, your donation to Metropolitan Ministries and a song to sing. Wait - you Music members - you bring the songs and music. I love music but it’s not my gift. I’ll bring my selfie stick. I’m not good with that either but it’s fun.

Bonnie and Roxanne visited the Ark Encounter located in Williamstown, Kentucky
From the website: Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old.
Gunni will be traveling to Sweden!

Cat's October Program
Thank you, friends for indulging me during the October Program to talk about how I "world build" in my novels and how I become inspired for my WWII-era novels. I had a ton of fun sharing with you my journey to the D-Day Conneaut event in Ohio this past August.
For those who did not attend last month's meeting and are interested in the topic, I have attached a link to part of my talk. There is an additional link at the bottom of the document to take you to the slide show of photographs!
I hope you enjoy it.

Message from the editor ...
**Addendum - Under the Free Plan we were allotted 3 free newsletters, which I extended to 11 by participating in advertising "credits" (on Twitter, Facebook and Blog.) I had no choice but to upgrade to a $ Plan for October's + newsletters and negotiated a non-profit discounted rate.
Personally, as the editor - although the content takes a good two days to assemble, the format of using "Smore" online is super easy and fun to manage. Technically, I think "printed" newsletters, assembled in Word or in a PDF would be more time consuming and just generate more paper, postage, not to mention unavailable labor. I'd like to keep saving the trees (so to speak) and have not found a suitable online replacement for what Smore does.
But, as a branch, it's important that you give me your feedback! I'm open to any and all ideas. Like you, I don't like spending money but if the value of this style of newsletter justifies the expense then we shall continue.
Please, please take three minutes to click your responses on the survey below. You can scroll up and down, leave feedback if you have any then click SUBMIT at the bottom of the survey. Thank you!
