BOOK FAIR
Parents and Students,
I am excited to offer for the first time at CCI a Literati bookfair for our Spring Fair this year... Literati/Follett are experts in amazing book selection for children of all ages. With over 150 publishers, INCLUDING Scholastic, they offer our students (and libraries) a wider variety of high quality books and comparable prices to the Scholastic Fairs we have had in the past.
As always, our school library will earn up to 50% back in free books for ALL students to check out in the future! Dog Man and our other favorites from Scholastic will be available, as well as a variety of journals, non-fiction, sports and crafts and games. The book fair will take place April 24-28 during your child’s library time. Each student will be able to shop during their library class time, or they can shop on Tuesday morning. Below is a schedule of when classes will be coming to the library.
Monday, April 24 – Ms. Sitzman and Mrs. Bell
Tuesday, April 25 - Open from 7:30 - 9:30 am
Wednesday, April 26 - Mrs. Lueken and Ms. Schroeder
Thursday, April 27 - Mr. Atkins and Mrs. Rogier
Friday, April 28 - Open 7:30-8:35 and Ms. Schroering
You may also choose to shop online with your child if you prefer. Our school’s shopping link is

Thank you!

Hot Spot Return
Dear Parents/Guardians of students who have checked out hotspots,
We would like to remind families to return Verizon hotspots that were provided to students for remote learning.
As we near the end of the school year, it is important to collect these devices to ensure they are available for future use. We kindly request that all Verizon hotspots be returned by May 24, 2023.
Please note that a charge of $100.00 will be applied for any hotspots that are not returned. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and thank you for your continued support of our school.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Attendance
When a student is unable to attend school due to illness or other causes, parents/guardians are required to notify your child’s homeroom teacher and school office by 7:50. Please note parent name, student name, homeroom teacher, and reason for absence.
If a student needs to leave school during the day for a health-related appointment, please give your homeroom teacher and the school office advance notice of the appointment and time. This will allow staff to prepare for departure and missed schoolwork. Students shall be picked up at the office (Door 1). If someone other than a parent/guardian or person with permission (with a signed note on file at the office) is picking up the student, special directions to permit the child to leave must be received from the parent/guardian. No student shall be released to someone other than a parent/guardian or another pre-approved person.
Please contact the office at 812-817-0900 Extension 2 or holli.land@sedubois.k12.in.us
Doctors’ notes are required for health-related appointments
