Our Fun Run program is well underway! Parents, thank you so much for all your support so far. Just so you know, students have been given a WEEKEND CHALLENGE! If a student receives a total of $2 per lap in new pledges (or $60 in flat donations) over the weekend, they’ll receive a special prize! And don’t forget to log in those pledges at funrun.com!

The Back to School Dance Party brought fun and FUNDS to Claxton!

After everyone’s fancy dancing shoes stopped smoking from all the fun that was had, the PTO calculated that the Fall Dance Party netted over $1300! These funds go directly to support 3rd-5th grade field trips. Thank you to all the parents, volunteers and Claxton staff for the amazing collaborative effort in putting together a super successful dance party!

Eblen Charities Walk, Run or Roll 2017

A fun individual, family or team event to benefit Buncombe county students and their families. Your support of this event will enable Eblen Charities to continue to assist more than 125,000 families annually through medical care & supplies, prescription assistance, travel assistance, dental & physician care, and funding assistance for food, rent, heat, & other emergency aid.

Participants on bikes, strollers and skates are all welcome to participate in this easy walk through the main campus of AB Tech.

Box Tops 4 Education

Did you know that the money that Claxton receives from the Box Tops 4 Education program directly benefits Coach Swain's PE program?! Claxton is ALWAYS collecting Box Tops, and we want your help!

You can start by clipping the Box Tops off approved products you already have in your pantry. You don't need to clip the actual product UPC — just the Box Tops logo will do. From frozen foods to produce and household cleaning products, there are literally hundreds of opportunities to help, and each Box Top is worth 10 cents. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it adds up fast. Box Tops are collected in the clear plastic bears located in the front hallway and gymnatorium.

There are so many participating companies! Participating companies and product lines include General Mills, Green Giant, Totino's, Pillsbury, Old El Paso, Ziploc, Hefty, Juicy Juice, Betty Crocker and many more. Here is a link to the participating brands.

The Box Tops 4 Education program offers new discount coupons on popular brands each month and also offers benefits for online purchases! Click here to see this month's offers.

Clip those tops and lets fill those bears for Coach Swain!

Claxton Elementary is going GREEN!

We want to improve school-to-home communication and connection with easy online access to important Thursday Folder information while saving time, money and trees! If you would like to help reduce waste and receive Thursday Folder information online, please click the link below. You will be sent a link to the Thursday Folder packet in PDF form weekly. Your information will only be used for school-approved communication. Please be aware that even though you choose to go paperless, there still might be communication that requires a flyer be sent home for response. This is an additional sign-up option, if you returned the paper request that went home in Thursday folders, you are already on the list!
