Controversy Strikes
When you look at the video above and pictures of the crash site, it is obvious that there was some sort of struggle before the car hit the light pole. Tread marks go back and forth in a zig-zag motion making some people believe that Roger lost control of the vehicle due to the car being tampered with. Police reports, so far, have proved this wrong by stating that there was no liquids, such as oil or gasoline, on the ground near the crash or on the road towards the light pole.
Possible street race
When Daily Mail reported the event on their website, they clearly stated that witnesses were starting to come forward with information about Paul and Roger possibly racing another car when Roger lost control at too high of speeds. Many reports sent to them claimed the race car driver was going 100 mph just moments before the crash despite being in a 45 mph zone. Whether there was another car involved or not remains unknown due to the fact that the video of the crash only shows a tree going down and smoke afterwards. There were many things blocking the view of the car(s).
