Weekly Update for Families: May 1st
Be sure to scroll through to check out important information and updates on future events and student celebrations.
RESCHEDULED! We will have Walk to School Day on Friday, May 19th in hopes of nicer weather and due to the many scheduled field trips this week. Please make any adjustments to your calendar. We always start at Knight's Park at 7:30 a.m. for those car riders or busses who wish to walk on this day. See you there!
Track and Field Day and Fun Afternoon are coming up! We LOVE this day together! A special thank you in advance to our PE teachers, Mr. Adeoti and Mrs. Martin for their planning. We look forward to running the track at the High School this year! Also, to our PPA- they help plan the fun afternoon by providing our bounce house, activities, and so much more to make it a memorable day for our students. This year they are purchasing all of the track and field shirts for all of our students. We appreciate their generosity!
The week of May 8th we will be celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! Thank you to our Woodbury PPA for helping make this a great week for staff.
We are hiring! We are still in need of special education applicants, so please spread the word!
Know a future Woodbury Kindergarten student? If they haven't already, please encourage them to register before the school year ends. This will allow us to screen their child in a timely manner and allow them to receive updates about our school in advance of the school year. Thank you!

District News
New Procedures for Kindergarten Registration
Mission Kindergarten:
We are excited to welcome our new class of kindergartens to the school district. We will have several events to help these learners and their families build relationships with the school district. To begin the process we need all incoming kindergarten families to prove residence and sign up for our “Preparing to Launch” event.
Starting on Monday, March 6 please contact Jody at the district office to find out what you need to prove residence (Residence Paperwork). Once you have proven residence you can sign up for the first event at your elementary school. No families will be given a screening time at “Preparing to Launch” without proving residence first.
Kindergarten Registration Process
1. Contact Jody at the district office at (815-786-2187) starting on Monday, March 6
2. Complete the proof of residency: https://drive.google.com/.../1IkhptNE1jsR8RyhnlJB.../view...
3. Complete online registration in Teacher Ease
You will receive this link once residence requirements are met.
