Principal's Update
Hello Wolfpack!
This week, we hosted our Rising 9th Grade Information Night. Thank you to the many staff and community members who participated, and especially to ProStart for catering dinner and the NC music department for providing live music. It was a great night to come together as a community. If you know someone interested in attending North Central next year, the choice portal is open until February 15th.
Groovy Shoes is next week on Wednesday, February 1st! Excitement has been building and there is energy in the hallways. Students have transformed our school with their decorations and spirit week attire. The spirit packs are on sale and are required to sit in the student section. Nearly every student attends, and we want all of them there! Counselors and teachers can help with costs if needed.
Finally, next week also marks the end of the first semester. Please work with your student and support staff as needed to help them finish strong. Final Exams will be on Monday and Tuesday, with final grades due from teachers on Thursday. Students worried about exams are encouraged to come to Cocoa and Cram on Saturday from 12-3PM for extra support. Let's finish the semester on a great note!
The strength of the wolf is in the pack.

Please consider donating to leadership's fundraiser to pay for Groovy Shoes shirts! Who will shave their head?! Will it be Rich Naccarato, Mark Sherwood, or Matt Halpin? There are milk jugs throughout the building for donations or you can donate directly to the business office. Whoever earns the most money will shave their head on February 1st! The person who donates the largest amount will have the honor of shaving the winner’s head. All donations are due by January 31st.

Course Registration Updates for Fall, 2023
This week students worked on course registration for next year. During advisory they were able to watch videos and plan for their classes. In case your student missed some or all of the days, they can view all resources for their grade level online! Please visit Enroll / NC Registration (spokaneschools.org) and select the grade your student will be in NEXT year to view resources. The best place to start is to watch the counselor video explaining specific requirements for the graduation level your student is in. Your student’s counselor will meet with them in the month of February to go over their course wish list, and finalize the registration, so you still have time to look at the materials before then!
Upcoming Mixer Guidelines
Our next mixer is on February 10th, and student ticket sales will be based on our updated dance guidelines. The following students are not eligible to attend the dance:
- Students from other schools, guests, or students not in grades 9-12
- Students with multiple failing grades for first semester
- Students who have had out-of-school suspensions during first semester
- Students whose attendance rate is below 70% for the semester
School administration may review individual students on a case-by-case basis. We encourage everyone to continue attending class, following school rules, and completing work to ensure you're able to participate in this event. The Junior class is hard at work preparing to make it a fun and engaging night for all of us.
