UNESCO
UNESCO stands for: United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. This Organisation's purpose is to provide peace and security by promoting international partnership through education, science, and culture in order to make sure everyone respects, the law, and human rights along with basic freedom.
Intangible Cutlural Heritage
Intangible Cultural Heritage is represented in those forms, expressions, knowledge, and skills - as well as in associated objects and cultural spaces, that communities and individuals recognize as part of their cultural heritage. Transmitted through generations and constantly recreated, it provides humanity with a sense of identity and endurance. The Global Code of Ethics for Tourism prescribes the protection of natural, artistic, archaeological and cultural heritage, to allow traditional cultural products, crafts and folklore to survive and flourish, rather than causing to degenerate and become standardized.

The Tango
The Tango is a dance that started in the early years of the 19th Century in South America and then moved it's way to Europe and to the rest of the world. It started in the low-class society in Argentina and Uruguay and now it's mostly danced by mid and high societies around the world. This history of Tango Dance is based on many years of study and research in Buenos Aires. The huge variety of Tango dance styles in Buenos Aires in the 1940s and 1950s represents the amazing depth and richness of Tango. This is an example of an element of Intangible Cultural Heritage because The Tango is incorporated into celebrations of national heritage in Argentina and Uruguay, reflection the widespread embrace of this popular urban music.
My Judgement
I think that The Tango is an important part of Argentina's culture so it must be protected for generations to come. Also it is a very important part of their heritage and represents their country. I think every country should have an element representing it and UNESCO are the organisation that are protecting these elements.
