History of the organization
Heifer was found in 1944 by Dan West in Little Rock, Arkansas. It originated in the Church of the Brethren Brethren Volunteer Service.
What do they do?
Heifer distributed animals, along with agricultural and values- based training, to families in need around the world as a means of providing self-sufficiency.
What is the cost of donations?
Depending on the animal the water buffalo is $250, Heifer is $500, Llama is $150. So the price ranges anywhere from 100 to 600 dollars.
