Be A Teacher Day
CALLING ALL....EDUCATION PROFESSION and EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS,
It is time to register for the Be A Teacher statewide event to be held November 17th at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Registration is $7.50 for students. Teachers receive a free registration, sub-pay, T-shirt, and a free ticket to the Pacers game that evening. Access registration here. Registration closes on October 13th and there is limited space, so register soon.
Check-in will begin at noon with the opening session starting at 12:30. All sessions will conclude by 4:00 with ample time for teachers and students to walk to a near-by restaurant prior to the Pacers game with tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
What your students should expect:
*A welcome by key people in Indiana’s world of education;
*Concurrent sessions on topics of Financial Aid, Community Colleges and the Path to Teacher Education, and a panel discussion on What it is Like to Go to College to Become a Teacher;
*Several university programs are committed to be in attendance to answer specific questions about their teacher education programs;
*Dr. Jeff Spanke to motivate the group with inspiration and humor;
*A free t-shirt;
*Door prizes; and
*Tickets to a professional basketball game: Pacers vs Detroit Pistons!

Individual members have the opportunity to be awarded for recruiting 3 or more members to FCCLA. If the applicant meets all qualifications and deadlines, he/she will receive a special Go For the Red t-shirt for his/her recruiting efforts. Click here to apply.Chapter Award

The 2017-2018 Competitive Events Guide is Available on the FCCLA Portal!
The 2017-2018 Competitive Events Guide is now available on the Resources tab of the FCCLA Portal. This document will be available until November 1 to all FCCLA chapters, but only affiliated chapters will have access after November 1.
The guide contains information on the following competitive events:
- FCCLA/Knowledge Matters Virtual Business Challenge - Personal Finance
- FCCLA/LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl
- Skill Demonstration Events
- STAR Events
All resources and templates will remain available for members on the STAR Events Resources page of the National FCCLA website. We are working on updating all resources and scenarios and will post them as soon as they are available.
The Online Project Summary Form has not yet been posted on the "Surveys" tab but will be posted before the end of September. This document is not to be completed until the project is ready for competition.

Safe Rides Saves Lives PSA Contest
