What are your goals for 2018?
DODGEBALL!
STUDENTS VS STAFF DODGEBALL GAME
It’s the most epic day of the year! The time has come for the 4th annual Blue Ash Elementary students vs. staff dodgeball game! This awesome fundraiser REPLACES cookie dough sales and is a chance for our students to have some fun, make a difference, and raise money to support our school. Entry Fees will enhance many of BAE’s initiatives including Positive Behavior Instruction activities, STEAM activities, classroom libraries, and professional development. All students will be involved in this exciting activity, some as cheerers and some as players. Whether you are playing in the game or not, you are welcome to take part in our costume competition. Dress up as Captain Dodgeball’s opposite ( a superhero who is kind, follows the four Bs, and shows good sportsmanship) and you could win breakfast at Frisch’s with Mr. Weeks and Mrs. Kolde. The game will take place Friday, January 26th.

News from the Health and Wellness Committee
January 2018 has certainly brought cold, snowy weather!!! This month, more than most, it takes an extra effort of creativity to come up with ways to keep our families active. This is not only good for our kids' bodies, but helps them fight off any "wintertime blues” or feelings of sadness that can come with less exposure to sunlight.
To that end, Cincinnati Children’s HealthWorks! Program has some great suggestions of how to stay active during these cold winter months. From developing weekly routines that get our children outdoors for short periods of time to coming up with indoor actitivities that promote movement such as GoNoodle, there is a lot we can do if we put our mind to it! For more information, please read the full blog: "7 Exercise Ideas to Keep Your Kids Active This Winter”. And as always, for a list of all the wellness-related activities going on at Blue Ash Elementary, be sure to check out the Blue Ash Elementary Wellness Calendar.
Aviation Station and Homework Help is back!
We hope you can make it!
