The Lincoln Lightning

"Your SPARK of information!"

February 14th, 2022

Happy Valentine's Day! As this is a time to celebrate love and friendship... we'd like to especially acknowledge our incredible counselor, Laura Jung, during National School Counselor Week! She fosters a culture of care, concern, and positivity with all our students and staff. We are so fortunate to have her at Lincoln School! Show Mrs. Jung some LOVE!

Warm regards,

Michelle Miner, Ed.D

Principal, Lincoln Elementary

Junior and Senior Kindergarten Registration and New Enrollments 2022-23

Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year opened on Monday, January 17, 2022. Students who are already enrolled in the district do not need to re-enroll. For more information about enrollment, please click here.

Masks

Please send extra masks in your child's backpack. Students often misplace them after lunch or recess and we are running low with our school supply. At times, they need to be replaced because the strap breaks or they become too wet for comfort. Thank you!

Lincoln Girls on the Run

Information below:

Winter Weather

The cold weather season is upon us! As a district we will be using the National Health Center’s rating scale of safe time outdoors. The “magic” number to keep children indoors is -5 degrees with the wind chill and temperature combination (although we also take into account the sunshine and wind present that day). Children love to play outside in the snow. As long as the weather permits, we take them out for recess. All students are expected to be outside unless there is a medical reason prohibiting them from doing so. Please be sure to send your child in boots, snow pants, a warm jacket, hat and mittens to be able to participate in snow activities. Don’t forget to label items with your child’s name so that we can return them if they are misplaced.
