Re-enrollment Window: January 10-28
On Friday, January 7, parents of current K-4 students should have received a notification from Parent Square with their child(ren)'s Student ID. You will need this ID in order to re-enroll. We will be using a new enrollment system called SchoolMint. Parents will need to set up an account with their student ID in order to re-enroll.
During the week of January 10, parents of current K-4 students will receive an email from ResponsiveEd with a link to re-enroll for the 2022-2023 school year. The link will take parents to SchoolMint for parents to set up an account and re-enroll their students. Re-enrollment will last a little over two weeks this year and will close on January 28. Please do not procrastinate or your child will be in danger of losing his/her seat.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS OF 5TH GRADERS: Parents of DCA Fifth Graders will NOT re-enroll at this time. Instead, fifth graders who plan to transfer to another RES school will need to submit a paper Transfer Request through the DCA front office. You may request a transfer in person through Mrs. Garretson. (Please see information below about fifth grade transfer requests.)
Transfer Requests for Next Year
Parents of K-4 students who wish to request a transfer request to a different RES school for the 2022-2023 school year may do so during the re-enrollment window, January 10-28. All K-4 students MUST FIRST RE-ENROLL at Denton Classical before requesting the transfer. Transfer Request Forms are in the school office; please see Mrs. Garretson
*** FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS...
Unfortunately, there is no continuing grade at Denton Classical for our fifth graders. Founders Classical Academy of Corinth holds a guaranteed sixth grade seat for each of Denton Classical's fifth graders who wish to transfer to Corinth. (Parents may also apply for a transfer to a different RES school, but seats are not guaranteed.) NOTE: ONLY A TRANSFER REQUEST IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. Denton's fifth graders will NOT be sent a re-enrollment link during the re-enrollment window. Also, parents should NOT submit an application for admission to another RES school (it will be discarded). See Mrs. Garretson BEFORE January 28 to complete a transfer request.

Lego Club
Is your student interested in joining Lego Club? Lego Club is open to students in 1st - 5th grades and will be held on Thursdays from 3:40 pm - 4:30 pm beginning on January13th to February 17th.
*In order to make room for everyone, please do not sign up if you student has already participated this year.*
The club is limited to the first 15 students to join and sign up here. If your students name is on the sign up genius, please send your $5 fee to PTO's Venmo account @DentonClassical-AcademyPTO. Be sure to include your student's name, grade, and a parent email address.
Fun Food Friday
Our first Fun Food Friday of 2022 will be on January 21st! We’re starting off with a student favorite - Chickfila!
- 8 count Nuggets, chips and cookies - $7.00
- 8 Count Grilled (GF) Nuggets, chips and GF dessert - $8.00
- No vegetarian option is available

5th Grade Baby Photos
The deadline to submit your photos is Friday, February 4th.
Lunch Visitors
Generally, students eat outside when the weather is nice. This is the best time to enjoy lunch with your student and their friends.
During inclement weather, students eat in their classrooms. Since classroom space is limited, there will be a designated alternate area in the main building for parents to eat with their students during inclement weather.

Each year our parents, grandparents, and other adults who wish to volunteer are required to submit their application to be a DCA volunteer. Once the background check is finished, we will inform you of your status. You may apply to be a DCA volunteer HERE.
