Pick 2 chores/activities to incorporate in to your week.
Thoughts & Ideas
This week, we are emphasizing children's independence with daily living skills. We want to encourage our students to participate in activities involving their self care and around the house. Engaging in daily living skill activities helps build confidence, provides structure and routine and develops motor skills in the process.
I have attached How to videos for buttoning, zippering and shoe tying. Remember, if you or your child start getting frustrated with a self care/dressing task, take a break! Please let me know how your child is doing with these self care tasks!
Below are some ideas to start having your child help you. All of these activities can be modified to fit your child's abilities. If you need help determining how to best incorporate these into your child's routine, please send me an email!
