A Note From Mrs. Mathe
Today your child will be bringing home an envelope with a note inside explaining Jeans for Love. The last day to purchase passes will be the day of our Valentine's Parties, February 11th. We will deliver all gifted passes to our staff on February 11th. If you are in need of more passes, please let us know. The front office has extra copies.
We also want to congratulate our 3 Powell Panthers that are finalists in the Western Art Show this year. Congratulations to 4th graders Caden Salinas, Caitlyn Pierce and Alana Caban Monserrate. Their beautiful artwork is pictured below.

Yearbook sales end today, January 29th - and the current price is $35. We will order a limited amount of extras to be sold in May, but that number will be quite small, so please order your yearbooks now!
Remote students can send their headshots to be added to your classroom page to yearbook@powellpto.org by Today, Friday, January 29.
BOOSTERTHON IS COMING!
We have found a COVID-safe way to have our 2021 Boosterthon and we will be sharing more information with you about it soon! Please mark your calendars for February 17-26 to help us raise funds for technology, a new marquee sign and so much more!

- Log in to Parent Access.
- Click on communication.
- Choose Staff/Teacher excellence from the drop down menu.
- Select the employee to receive recognition from the drop down menu.
- Click create TAE.
- Click any of the pre-populated choices that apply.
- Type any additional comments in the Additional Comment box.
- Click the box labeled Create Teachers Achieving Excellence button.
- Done!
Student COVID Screening
Please review the information and be sure to keep your child at home if he/she is exhibiting any of the following symptoms.
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Fatigue
- Chills or shaking with chills
- Congestion or runny nose
- Significant muscle pain or body aches
- Have a new uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing or for individuals with a chronic allergic/asthmatic, cough, a change in your cough from baseline
- Diarrhea, vomiting or abdominal pain
- New onset or severe headache
- Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
- Or if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results due to symptoms that began less than 10 days ago
