Laurel students ‘Get Tacky” with Reader’s Theater
It was another fun filled week of engaging activities at Laurel Elementary! Laurel first and second graders performed the story of “Tacky of the Penguin” and shared Tacky’s fun and crazy antics with their parents and peers. At the conclusion of the performance students were asked about the moral of the story and learned that it is important to be kind to others, be yourself and not always judge a book by its cover.
BOHS Hosts Open House
Thank you for all your efforts to create an awesome display for parents & students to see last night. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it was definitely not the scale that you were able to create. The advance preparation and effort you put into having students work on this project was very evident and the overall final display of student achievement was impressive! This is definitely the type of thing that parents love to see when they attend an event like our open house. I would love to see this continue for future open houses!
Highlights from open house included a "World Water Display" put on by the World Languages department.
