Building TEAMS
Team Roles & Responsibilites
Students choose or are assigned Roles or Jobs when working in groups. Each student is given Responsibilities based on their Role and the learning task.

Supply Managers
Responsible for making sure all team members have the supplies and resources they need to complete their task.
Time and Communications Managers
Keeps the team on task. Makes sure they are meeting deadlines and progress checks.
Responsible for the Chat Tree/Communication Cards and communicates the teams' needs to the teacher.
Authentic Experiences
Kinder students visit with Local Farmer, Mr. Kurt Davis and sit in Mr. JT Sentell's tractor
Students got a chance to hear from a local farmer, sit in a tractor, and dissect a cotton boll. They learned how cotton is planted, harvested, and then taken to the gin to eventually be made into clothes and other products. Students picked their own cotton boll and took it back to their classroom where they counted how many seeds their boll had and used the cotton in an art project.
Gallery Walk
"Masque of the Red Death"
Ms. Martinez's high school students use a "Gallery Walk" to listen to presentations from other groups regarding their recent project over "Masque of the Red Death". Students used Sticky Notes to give Cool and Warm Feedback.
2D Shapes
Ms Davis and Ms Sentell's kindergarteners teach Pre-K students about 2D shapes using the projects that they made in class.
Projects/Products
True Books vs Fantasy Books
First grade students in Ms Michael's class create a display for South Elementary Open House showing the difference between True Books and Fantasy Books.
Wildfires in West Texas
9th Grade Biology students create posters to display their research on the Short-Term and Long-Term environmental effects of wildfires in the Western United States during 2015.
