TOYS FOR TOTS

The Hemlock High School is an official drop-off location for Toys for Tots. Bring in an unwrapped toy and drop in the boxes in the front lobby. Pick up will be December 9th.

HEMLOCK YOUTH BASKETBALL

The Hemlock youth basketball registration is now open for the 2022 winter season. We are welcoming all students young fives through 6th grade to join in the fun! Updates and detailed information can be found on the Hemlock Youth Basketball Facebook page. Register before December 3rd to avoid late fees. NO registrations will be accepted after December 17th! Season begins the week of January 10th and runs through February 19th. Go Huskies!

RAUCHHOLZ MEMORIAL LIBRARY NEWS

Teens 6th-12th grade, sign up to attend and play as the characters in a life-size version of this classic murder mystery board game! We will play the game as many times as we can in the two hours, snacks will also be served. Call, visit, or message us on Facebook or Instagram to sign up or get more info.

RESCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 20TH
Our kids event Dragons vs. Unicorns that was originally going to take place this Saturday has been rescheduled for November 20th! Sign up is still open for kids kindergarten-5th grade!

At this fun event you get to choose whether you will pick the side of the Dragons or the side of the Unicorns! Then we will compete on teams to make crafts, play games, and go on a scavenger hunt to find out which mythical creature is the GOAT!

RETRO GAME NIGHT

Teens 6th -12th grade, join us at the library on December 8th from 5:00 m - 7:00 pm for a Retro Game Night! We will have retro video games like Super Mario Bros. and Pac-Man, classic board games, and a costume photo booth! Snacks will be provided.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST

Come over to the library on December 16th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm and put your decorating skills to the test. Let's see who can create festive candy houses in this fun competition.


Participants will compete in age brackets and the whole group will vote to determine the winners.




Take a Chance Auction at the library begins Nov. 3. Visit the library Nov. 3 - 30, to purchase tickets (6 for $5) to take a chance to win a prize of your choice. Proceeds will assist with the summer 2022 mini-camps.

CHESS CLUB

A family-friendly chess club for kids, teens, and parents who want to learn how to play chess or find others to play with on December 1st and December 15th from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Generously hosted by our volunteer chess teacher Brian Premo.

Feel free to bring your own chess set if you have one!

Hemlock Business Association Wreath Decorating Contest

The first wreath is in for the 2021 wreath decorating contest. Hemlock Auto Alignment did a fantastic job. We are looking forward to seeing the other businesses wreaths.


Wreaths will be auctioned off at the 2021 Holiday Market on December 3, 2021. Tickets are $1.00 for one or $5.00 for six. Money raised is donated back into the community by the Hemlock Business Association.

HOMETOWN HOLIDAYS WITH THE HEMLOCK AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Join the Hemlock Area Historical Society for an evening of good old-fashioned holiday fun! Begin by enjoying a free cup of homemade cocoa or traditional wassail and a snack from the old Gould's Drug Store soda fountain while looking over the exhibit, then say hello to St. Nicholas himself. Don't forget to purchase your limited edition 2021 badge and be entered into the gift basket drawing before setting out on an enchanted candle walk uptown to the gazebo for the annual lighting ceremony.

Saginaw Silver Screen Series

The Temple Theater in downtown Saginaw has announced its 2021 fall/winter lineup for The Saginaw Silver Screen series.


Established in 2017, the movie series features classic films. All of the films begin at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
