Acrostic Poems

The simple plan for the lesson is that each student writes an acrostic poem about a student they are assigned ( they do not choose). This will build deeper understanding and empathy for that poem and make the students think of that student’s feelings.
Please display the poems in the hallway!! The lesson plan suggests using the other students name and exploring kind words
But you could also incorporate the words kindness and empathy as you teach doing ACROSTIC poems and providing direct instruction and examples.
