BHS January Newsletter
January 5th, 2024
Hello BHS Families!
Happy New Year! I hope that everyone enjoyed their winter break and had an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. We are nearing the end of the first semester with final exams on January 24th and 25th. Please continue to monitor your student's academic progress and attendance on Skyward. Please remind your student that being present and on time for school everyday is an important factor in student success. Any time missed puts students at a disadvantage that may be difficult to overcome. Of course, you can always reach out to your student's teacher or counselor if you have any questions or concerns.
Students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will start course registration process for next year in the beginning of February. As in years past, scheduling resources will be emailed out and put on the school website.
We look forward to finishing the first semester strong!
As always thank you for your support,
Amy Levonian
BHS Principal

December Highlights
Spreading Holiday Joy & Giving Back
On December 1st, over 140 members of the Burlington High School DRIVEN Student Leadership Team brought the holiday cheer, raising funds for Love Inc. and visiting residents at the Arbor View Assisted Living and Memory Care Center.
Throughout the Burlington area, the coffers overflowed with generosity, as community members donated $2,605.70 to the bell ringing efforts of DRIVEN members. This is the single biggest day of fundraising with bell ringing all season long for Love Inc. Love Inc. Director Terri Plachy expressed her extreme gratitude and said this is a day she looks forward to all year.
All in all, a solid effort from the DRIVEN Students of Burlington High School, giving back to their community.
