Updates For The Week of September 25
Principal's Corner
Riverview Families,
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for Family Fun Night! This special evening would not have been possible without the exceptional efforts of our dedicated PTP and the many volunteers who stepped up to make it happen. The countless hours of planning, organizing, and coordinating by the PTP members made this event a true highlight in our school calendar. I am so grateful for their commitment to fostering a sense of community and providing unforgettable experiences for our students and families. If you would like to join this incredible group of parents, please join us for our next PTP meeting.
I also want to extend my warmest thanks to all the parents, guardians, RVES staff, and community members who joined us last Thursday night. Your presence, enthusiasm, and participation were a driving force behind the event's success. It was heartwarming to see our school community come together and celebrate the spirit of kindness and friendship.
Our school thrives when we collaborate as a united front, and this event exemplified the strength and unity of our Riverview community. As we continue to navigate the school year, I encourage everyone to stay connected with our school and participate in the various events and activities that bring us closer together. Your involvement truly makes a difference and contributes to the well-being and success of our students.
Best wishes for a great week!
Shawn Peck
Principal

Fun Run Fundraiser Update
It's a BIG WEEK! This Friday, all RVES students will participate in our annual Fun Run event. It is one of the highlights of the year and is also our largest fundraiser of the year. Here is where we stand with only 7 days of fundraising left:
- As of today, we have raised $24,685, putting us at 61% of our goal of raising $40,000. Many students have earned fun incentives like a hat day, cozy day, extra recess, or others.
- Because we reached our halfway mark of $20,000, our beloved head custodian, Mr. Tom will be taped to the gym wall with duct tape on Monday, Sept. 25. All students will get the opportunity to see this.
- We have received donations from 31 states (9 more and Ms. Olson dyes her hair!).
- We have 79% of our students registered and have received 692 separate donations to 301 different students' webpages.
- We have seven Superstar Overachiever students who have raised at least $300 individually for our school.
- Mr. Fey's kindergarten class has raised more than any other classroom at our school with $2100 in donations brought in.
- Make sure you are registered and keep on sharing your link and encouraging friends, family, and neighbors to donate.
FOLLOW THESE THREE SIMPLE STEPS TO PARTICIPATE AND HELP US REACH OUR GOAL:
- First Register or re-Login to your parent dashboard and complete your child’s student webpage with a PICTURE at getmovinfundhub.com. School Identifier: 630cf7ad5ca17
- Make an online donation using the red DONATE button right away.
- Share with friends and family, they want to help!
- We will accept donations up until Sunday, Oct. 1

From FHS School Administration - Expectations for Visitors to Tiger Stadium During Football Games
We are excited to welcome our community to Tiger Stadium on Thursday, September 28th for a home football game against Rosemount! We are expecting a large crowd and, so everyone can be prepared, we are communicating our stadium expectations up front. We understand that football games are a social event and to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable evening we ask that all who are planning to attend read the following:
FHS Tiger Stadium Seating Update
Home Student Section Overflow
Farmington students that are not sitting in the student section will be in the designated area in between the stands and the family section (marked with the orange line in the picture above). Students in middle or elementary school that are not in the Student Section Overflow are to be seated with a parent or guardian in the stands.
Family Section
The area designated as the Family Section is reserved for families who intend to sit together and whose children will be under direct supervision for the duration of the game. Any student that is deemed to be unsupervised in this area will be asked to join a student section or the stands. Families are welcome to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs to use in this area.
As always, we will have a number of district staff on site for supervision to help communicate these changes.
Fan Expectations
It is an expectation that middle school and elementary school students have a parent or guardian at the game and remain supervised throughout the night.
Please remember to be a positive fan; cheer for the Farmington Tigers and refrain from using negative or obscene language, gestures, or interactions with fans/players from the opposing team. It is all of our responsibility to ensure our venues are safe. If someone around you is not acting appropriately, please discourage them from continuing or involve a member of our ISD 192 staff.
Also, please take note of our general Tiger Stadium procedures:
- Visiting fans sit on the East side of the stadium; Tiger fans on the West
- Fans should not travel between the home and visiting side of the stadium
- No outside food or beverage is allowed (Including reusable water bottles)
- No backpacks or oversized totes
- No MSHSL prohibited items (noisemakers, megaphones, flags, etc.)
- No re-entry; if you leave the stadium for any reason, you will be asked to purchase another ticket to return. After halftime there is no re-entry.
- Fans are not allowed on the field before or after the game
- Tailgating is allowed in the NW lot on the FHS campus from 4:30 - 7:00 pm
- No alcohol or tobacco on ISD 192 property, including e-cigarettes
- No open or closed fires
- No footballs, frisbees, inflatables, or other similar items allowed in the stadium
- No promotional or marketing activities unless pre-approved
- No sales of products, food, or beverage unless pre-approved
Thank you for supporting our student-athletes, coaches, and community by attending events at Farmington High School.
Parking
Parking will be at a premium so we highly encourage you to carpool with other families if possible. We ask that all drivers pay attention to our parking monitors and only park in designated parking areas. The north lot by the softball field is roped off for overflow parking. This is the only location where vehicles should be parked on the grass.
Tickets/Admission
While cash is accepted still at our football games, we highly encourage you to pre-purchase your tickets online. The cash line often gets very long and with pre-purchased tickets you can basically walk right in as all we need to do is scan your ticket. Tickets can be purchased on our Athletics webpage: purchase tickets here.
Traffic Management
As previously communicated, please be aware that Flagstaff Ave. will close for construction south of FHS beginning Wednesday, September 27. South bound traffic on Flagstaff Ave. south of FHS, from approximately 211th St. W. to County Road 50 will be closed. The detour access to County Rd 50 will be 200th St. W. to Cedar Ave. South to County Rd 50 East or West. Vehicles exiting FHS will need to go north on Flagstaff Ave. or go west on 202nd St. to Cedar Ave. For everyone’s safety, please exercise extra patience and attentive driving skills when traveling to and from the FHS campus during this time.
We are looking forward to having you at FHS to cheer on our Tigers!
