The Hungate Echo
Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Spring Term 1 - Issue 2
A word from Mr Broom.
I visited a school in York on Thursday to watch a maths mastery teacher who was visiting from Shanghai! Lots of the principles of learning saw fit well with our maths text book approach to mastery in the subject and it's great to know that our teachers are well on the way to improving outcomes in the area. I would also like to thank our Y6 parents who attend the SATs briefing on Thursday evening.
Finally, we have our Peer Review on Wednesday. This is when visiting headteachers come to look at teaching and learning in school and give us points for development and areas to celebrate. I'm sure you will see some of them on the playground before school. It's a little bit like an inspection and I'm looking forward to some high quality external opinion on where to develop school next. After all, we've come a long way since September.
Good Luck to Mrs Dulling
