As an important health identification card, an Indonesia health alert card should be carried at all times upon exiting the airport from Indonesia. To carry the card, travelers should visit the embassies of Indonesia, that can be found in every state. There is also a little store where one can obtain the cards, even though this might not be available at all airports. Upon entering Indonesia, travelers must fill out and sign the waiver of liability department upon arriving in the airport.
After arriving in Indonesia, tourists must continue to the immigration office and complete the immunization requirements. Those wishing to remain for a longer time period, for instance three months, must go to the same immigration office to finish the immunization requirements. Once the immunization requirements are complete, travelers need to pass a health inspection. After passing the review, travelers will receive their health certificate which contains all information about the condition and / or treatment.
After getting their health certification, travelers must have a malaria vaccination. Travelers who haven't obtained their malaria vaccination prior to travel to Indonesia will have to visit the closest Indomo immunization centre where they are going to receive the malaria vaccine. Afterward, travelers must complete the required documentation regarding their entry to the country. There is presently no malaria endemic in Indonesia, though, because the only known incidence was in 1998, when there were not any distinctive malaria vaccination requirements.
After the documentation process is completed, travelers must experience a ten-day incubation interval, which is the time in the time that the patient became symptomatic until the period that he's diagnosed with a particular ailment. The incubation period for most ailments is five days. In Indonesia, there are three federal health clinics which offer treatment for the sicknesses that travelers may experience en route to Indonesia. These practices offer various solutions to travelers who might be suffering from several ailments.
There are also several medical centers in Indonesian cities that provide treatment to individuals who need urgent care. If a patient experiencing a pre-existing illness or who has recently traveled to another country requiring special attention has an urgent requirement for medical attention, he could call the hotline number mentioned on the Indonesia Health Alert Card. If the disease is diagnosed in the early stages, doctors can reduce the length of hospital stay by prescribing more efficient medicine. Travelers must be aware of their rights and responsibilities when they are abroad, including the right to seek medical help when they require it.
