Meet Your New Family Liaisons!

We are very excited to announce our new OC Family Liaisons, Ladan Rashidi and Shaemanique King! We know they will be a great support and resource for our families and teachers. Here is a little more about them.

Shaemanique King

I have four children and have been homeschooling for the past four years. I consider my homeschooling style to be “eclectic” as I draw from many sources and philosophies. I love spending time with my kids and going on adventures! I have a background in Project Management Support, and I enjoy planning and hosting activities and events. I look forward to supporting staff and families!

Ladan Rashidi

I moved from London, England, to sunny California in 2008. I graduated with a BSc in Business with Computing, but went back to study teaching and graduated with a Post Graduate Certification of Education in Secondary Math. I have taught high schoolers and elementary children, but left teaching to homeschool my three children. I enjoy helping and supporting parents navigate their homeschooling journey!

"I Can" Statements

In the front part of your child's planner (aren't they great?!) we have listed our "I Can" statements for their grade level. These are a great tool that our Inspire curriculum team has developed for our use! They consist of simple statements that make learning targets clear to students, addressing all of the standards that a student would be learning in a traditional public school.


These guides will help your child and ensure that they are on track for their grade level. They are here to help you if you need direction, or if you merely want to see what other students are learning throughout the year. If you would like to check off the standards you complete with your child, fantastic. If you don’t, that's great too! We feel they are just an awesome tool that could help further your homeschooling goals.

Orange County Children's Book Festival

The 15th Annual OC Children's Book Fair will be taking place in Costa Mesa on September 30th. This is a fun, educational and free event for the whole family! There will be an array of authors, books, vendors, interactive booths, live animals and entertainment! We will also have a booth there, so please stop by and say hello!

Learn & Grow at the Cube

This FREE EVENT is fun for all ages! Families will have the opportunity to interact with over 60 exhibitors providing services that focus on health and wellness, view entertaining attractions, and participate in family activities, including face painting, balloon art, and Bubble Dash Games. Please stop by the Inspire booth while you're there!
