Help us to Celebrate our Wonderful Librarian, Ms. Nance, for National Librarian Week

Reading and the Mahanay library are part of the backbone of Mahanay! Our librarian, Ms. Nance, fosters the joy of reading in each of our students starting in PreK! She goes above and beyond to engage students in books and learning! She has adapted as we have had to switch to virtual learning. She was able to get digital resources shared with parents and eventually a mobile library up and running to allow students to check out books while learning virtually at home! Ms. Nance does so much more than just library tasks. She is always willing to help anyone in need, and we are so grateful to have her here at Mahanay!

Tardies and Early Release

Our procedures for tardies and early release have changed slightly this year, since we are not allowed to have non-staff members in the buildings without appointments.

Students are tardy if they arrive after 7:55 am. If your child arrives after 7:55 am, they will receive a tardy pass from the front office when they walk in. Parents are no longer permitted to walk them in if they are late. You may walk them to the door, and we will help them get to class from there.

Early Release:

If you need to pick your child up from school early, please call the front office to let them know. 281-983-8355. If you call and let us know when you are close, we can get your child ready for you when you arrive.

We do still need to check your ID before we release any children. When you arrive, please come to the front door with your mask on and your ID ready to show a staff member. After we have verified your ID, we will release your student to you.
